Alaska Gastineau Mining Company (NY), two certificates for $5 shares, 191[2], numbered 491 and 558, signed by Joseph Gilbert as president, vignettes of mineworkers and frontierswoman with rifle, green and black, good fine. (2) Joseph Gilbert formed the Alaska Perseverance Mining Co., which was renamed in 1910 Alaska Gastineau Mining Co. to mine gold. By 1915, 4,000 tons of ore were being crushed daily.
