British Motor Syndicate Ltd., £1 shares, 189- (date not completed in error), no.2636, double headed eagle at left, black, uneven left edge where removed from counterfoil but otherwise good very fine and rare. This was Harry J Lawson´s first attempt at monopolising the motor car industry by acquiring the Daimler patents (hence the double headed eagle vignette) and charging other companies for their use.
