London Chatham & Dover Railway Company, City Lines Shares, pair of certificates for £10 deferred share ´A´ and £10 deferred share ´B´, both 1864, both issued to Sir Samuel Morton Peto, black with red and blue overprints respectively, printed by Waterlow & Sons, good very fine and better. (2) Sir Samuel Morton Peto was a partner in the famous engineering firm of Peto & Betts which failed in the wake of the Overend Gurney banking crash of 1866. Estimate £ 50-60
