x United Victorian & Tasmanian Quartz Mining Company Reg´d, £5 shares, 18[70], no.1291, a lovely piece, printed in Melbourne, in blue, green and gold, embossed duty stamp, almost extremely fine and rare. Mines at Waterhouse, Tasmania. Gold was first found at the North Eastern tip of the island in 1869 and a boom ensued which was over by 1871. Estimate £ 200-250
