x Imperial Q´ing Household, loan certificate for 100 kuping taels, 1851, large format piece with text in Chinese, red ´chop´ marks, red and black, bottom left corner cut off as cancellation, very fine and rare. The first attempt by the Imperial Household to borrow money, mostly from the merchant population at zero interest. A similar certificate but for 300 taels was sold in Beijing in June of this year.
