                        A red morocco and gilt bound presentation album titled ´COMPANIA SUD-AMERICANA DE BILLETES DE BANCO - Premiado con dos Medallas de Oro en la ESPOSICIÓN DE BÚFFALO´ , ND (C.1898), postage stamps and banknotes removed but containing proof vignettes (39), on card, mainly as used by ´Banco de la Nacion Argentina´, depicting famous people, allegorical figures, steam trains and steamships, also cigar and cigarette tax stamps (approx 30), lottery tickets (5), stamped paper, etc. mainly from Argentina and Bolivia,  a fascinating and attractive presentation, slightly rubbed, very rare  Estimate £   500-700    The album was prepared for display at the Pan-American Exposition (World´s Fair) held in Buffalo in 1901. The organisation commenced in 1897 but plans were put on hold due to the outbreak of the Spanish-American War in 1898.
