Switzerland Transitional Period Geneva 1849, so-called "Vaud" 4c. black and red, large margins and fresh colours, on entire letter dated 15 Feb. 1850 addressed to Mr. Stouvenel at Cointrin, red rosette cancellation and with Geneva c.d.s. in the same colour alongside, very fine and a most attractive example of this rare stamp from a famous correspondence.
