Somaliland Covers and Cancellations 1931 (25 Feb.) envelope flown by Imperial Airways on first flight London to Wadi Halfa and forwarded to Sheikh with manuscript note "Via Aden", franked at 5d. and showing, on reverse, Wadi Halfa (6.3), Shellal-Halfa T.P.O. No. 1 (14.3), Cairo (16.3), Port Said-Bilbeis T.P.O. (16.3) and Berbera (23.3) datestamps, and 1935 (27 Oct.) envelope flown on first acceptance, Belgium to Somaliland Protectorate, from Brussels to Berbera franked at 2f.35c., showing fine arrival c.d.s. (25.11) with, on reverse, Djibouti transit d.s.; 1937 (24 May) OHMS envelope (228x105mm.) to Surrey and (13 Dec.) similar envelope to USA, each showing "berbera/paid/british somaliland" c.d.s. (Type OP2a) in red, the latter being the latest recorded date, 1941 (16 Apr.) unstamped envelope to South Africa, marked "On Active Service", showing fine strike of "a.p.o.-u-m.p.k./7" c.d.s. (Berbera) and Type SA100 Censor h.s. for No. 98, (2-11 June) similar envelopes each with good to fine "a.p.o.-u-m.p.k./15" c.d.s. (Berbera) and various censor marks Estimate £ 200-250
