Perak Lumut 1945 (22 Aug.) envelope to Lumut, bearing Japanese Occupation Pictorial 8c., marked "closed, D.L.O. Ipoh, Retour" in red ink as it was addressed to a Japanese firm with Japan having surrendered while the letter was in transit and showing "lumut" double-ring d.s. (Type D6 State 3, earliest recorded date). As the mail service was interrupted, the letter was sent to the D.L.O. Ipoh and returned to Taiping. Most unusual. Photo Estimate S$ 800-1,000
