Sarawak Kuching G.P.O. 1929 (13 July) envelope registered to England, marked "Per Air Mail to Singapore", bearing 1928-29 10c. and 20c., showing Type R7 registration h.s. in violet, rare "kuching/air mail" c.d.s. (Type AM3) and, on reverse, Singapore transit d.s. (18.7); also 1929 5c. block of four with central Type AM2 cancellation. Photo Estimate S$ 500-600 Note: On this flight, only 200 letters were permitted and an airmail fee of 10 cents per letter was charged in addition to the ordinary postage rate. The cover was posted on 13 July and reach Singapore on 18 July. The flight left Kuching on 14 July but was was forced to land at Pontianak by bad weather. The mail reached Singapore by ship.
