x New Zealand 1845-66, reverse dated 1860-1861 (Wm. Whilley, Carptrs. Mate, H.M.S. Iris), lacquered, good very fine Estimate £ 380-420 Approximately 72 New Zealand medals were awarded to H.M.S. Iris, 32 of which are recorded as known in Naval Medals 1857-1880, K. Douglas-Morris. Of this number 3 are recorded with the reverse 1860; 5 with undated reverses, and the rest with 1860-1861 reverse.
