                        Seventeenth century, Norfolk, Binham, John Starling, star stops, iohn star-en around grocers arms, a chevron between nine cloves, rev. of :benham.1659 around i.s (TCSB, Sept 2009, pp.315-16- this coin), an extremely rare issue, the only known for the village of Binham, very fine  Estimate £   200-250    provenance  Little Snoring, Norfolk.    Benham is thought to be a reading for Binham at which the only John Starling in Norfolk is found in the 1666 hearth tax asessment. This confirms the attribution to Binham.
