Seventeenth century, Norfolk, Binham, John Starling, star stops, iohn star-en around grocers arms, a chevron between nine cloves, rev. of :benham.1659 around i.s (TCSB, Sept 2009, pp.315-16- this coin), an extremely rare issue, the only known for the village of Binham, very fine Estimate £ 200-250 provenance Little Snoring, Norfolk. Benham is thought to be a reading for Binham at which the only John Starling in Norfolk is found in the 1666 hearth tax asessment. This confirms the attribution to Binham. This is the second known example of this issue,
