Charles I, Crown, 29.90g, m.m. lis, group I, king, crowned and holding sword aloft, riding left on caparisoned horse with plume on head and crupper, rev. long cross fourchée over garnished, square topped shield (Brooker 234; N.2190; S.2753), some weakness on king´s face and shield, otherwise pleasing tone, very fine, rare Estimate £ 1,200-1,500 provenance Bt. Seaby, 1969, with Seaby ticket indicating they acquired it in part exchange from FR Cooper.
