Egyptian Delta Light Railways Limited, a specimen 4% debenture for £100, 19-, from the Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. archives, large format piece, vignette of Sphinx, ornate border, red and blue, printers´ annotation for 1914, overprint in green making the debenture irredeemable and increasing the interest rate to 5%, with coupons, very fine to extremely fine. Estimate £ 60 This issue of debentures commenced in 1897 and it is these earlier certificates which are seen on the market. This later issue which is very similar but with adjusted text is much more difficult to find.
