Mongolia Chinese Post Office Urga 1921 (18 Jan.) opened-out red band cover registered to Kalgan bearing, on the reverse, Peking Junk 2c., 3c. (3) and 8c. (9c. plus 10c. registered) tied by poor strikes of the bilingual c.d.s. type IVc with the registration handstamp and Kalgan arrival (21.2) on face. This is believed to be last mailing from the Chinese Post Office in Mongolia. An important and historic item Estimate HK$ 30,000-50,000 Note: This cover took 31 days to reach Kalgan. This was a result of the fighting and loss of Chinese control in Mongolia. Urga was captured by the Revolutionary Mongolian/White Russian Forces on 3rd February; only two weeks after this letter was mailed and about two weeks before delivery provenance: E.M.
