Mongolia Russian Post Office Sharasume 1919 (5 Jan.) red band cover registered to Peking bearing, on the reverse, 1917 1r. imperf. pair plus Sinkiang 4c. and 5c. tied by the double-ring c.d.s. code "be" with the red on white registration label alongside. Peking arrival c.d.s. of 1921 (3 Feb.), over two years after despatch. A fine mixed franking cover from this turbulent period and very rare use of such high values Estimate HK$ 25,000-30,000 Covers mailed in 1919 often display the mixed frankings with Sinkiang Junks and were probably forwarded via the Transsiberian Railway , which was in dispute between the Red Army, the retreating forces under Admiral Kolchak and the Czechoslovak legions guarding it
