China Foreign Post Offices France Ichang: 1897 (25 May), envelope to London bearing a fine strike of Ichang Dollar chop with 25c. Peace and Commerce overprinted "Chine" tied by "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s. with a second strike at left, the reverse with Shanghai Customs, Ligne N and arrival c.d.s.; folding creases. A very good cover and believed to be the earliest recorded examples of the Ichang Dollar chop. Photo Estimate HK$ 3,000-5,000
