Gibraltar 1886 (3 Jan.) envelope to Marseilles, bearing 2 1/2d. ultramarine with blue-black overprint cancelled with "A26" duplex and showing Bordeaux transit c.d.s. (6.1) alongside, the reverse with Madrid (5.1) and arrival (7.1) c.d.s.; a very early usage of this issue and possibly the earliest recorded use of the blue-black overprint. B.P.A.
