Cape of Good Hope The Rectangular Issues 1864-1904 a used range with covers/cards (32) including 1864-77 4d. clearly tied by Elands Post oval d.s. on 1876 (May) envelope to Queen´s Farm, and 1/- tied by Post Retief oval d.s. on 1873 (Mar.) envelope to UK, 1868 4d. on 6d. tied by barred numeral "2" on 1870 front to Colesberg, 1871-76 1d. pairs (2, one defective) on 1873 envelope to Cape Town cancelled by Swellendam oval d.s., 1879 3d. on 4d. (3) each on 1879 or 1880 envelope, 1879 envelope (soiled etc) to Manchester bearing OFS 4d. in combination with CGH 6d., 1880 (Aug.) "3" (Type 10) on 3d. (2), one with surcharge inverted, the other used with 1/2d. and 4d. on 1880 envelope from Port Elizabeth to Germany, 1892 (1 Mar. - 23 Dec.) envelopes (10) and a stationery card all cancelled by Cape Town "Compass Wheel" experimental d.s., 1900 and 1902 card and envelope bearing 1/2d. (5) and 1d. respectively cancelled by late use of the triangular obliterator during the Boer War. An interesting lot well worth close examination Estimate £ 500-600
