Ch.461. Cobbleskill. First NB. $20. Fr.424. Original Series. No.207586/104 A. F-VF. A scarce First Charter $20, only the second reported in Track & Price. There is a strong demand for all better grade $20s, and this one is no exception. Strong inking and blazing color with signatures in brown pen ink that look as fresh and the day they were done. The paper is crisp with some moderate vertical folds. The margins are tight with a couple of small tears and some light staining in the left margin. Incidentally, the town´s curious name presumably came from combining a German?s name Kobel, or Cobel who built a local grist mill,and the Dutch word for creek, kill , hence Cobel´s Creek.
