Pennsylvania. June 21, 1759. 50s. No.4874. Gordon, Say, Morgan. Red titles. Nature print on the back. Printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall. A very rare series which was authorized May 21, 1759 but was repealed by the Crown in June 1760. The bills were withdrawn from circulation once the repeal was known. Out of the 36,650 Pounds issued, 35,795 Pounds were redeemed thus leaving only 855 outstanding. A real rarity and not in the John J. Ford Jr. collection. VG, edge splits. Estimate US$ 1,000-2,000
