Togo British Occupation 1917 (19 Mar.) envelope (with original contents) from Major E.D.O. Rew to his sister in Ipswich, bearing 1916-20 1d. tied by "lome/togo" c.d.s. and showing Accra transit d.s. (20.3). Photo Estimate £ 200-250 Note: Major Rew was the officer commanding the British forces in Togoland from 25th June 1915, and was also Political Officer in the Gold Coast service. His sister, Mrs Litchford, was married to a fellow officer, Rowland Litchford.
