Sierra Leone World War One - 1914-1918 Censor Mail 1917 (June) envelope from Bo to Manchester, bearing 1914 1d. tied by Freetown c.d.s., showing framed "damaged by immersion/in sea water" in violet with manuscript "Saved from a Steamer, Sunk by a German Submarine, July 1917", showing censor´s blue crayon "7" with "g. Coat of Arms r./Officially sealed" label on cream paper (Martin & Walton Type 1) handstamped "Passed by Censor" (Type 1B) in black on both sides at left and sealed with stamp selvedge on the other three sides and showing, on reverse, Bo and Freetown datestamps.
