Northern Nigeria West African Frontier Force 1905 (24 Nov.) envelope (with original letter headed "S.W. Stark, Benue") from Capt. Wilkin to his step-brother in London, marked "spectacles only", bearing 1905 1d. (8) cancelled by "lokoja northern nigeria" double-ring d.s. and over-cancelled by London c.d.s.; the envelope a little soiled. The contents mention leaving Lokoja, late because Civil Authorities could only get 6 men to load kit, getting to Loko and travelling up to Udeni, stopped to visit old barracks, site of 1901 service, sold horse and hopes "Blackwood" at Amar has got a new one.
