The Royal Niger Company´s Territories West African Frontier Force Borgu Military Administration 1899 envelope to Stourbridge and re-addressed to Leicester, marked "No stamps available at Okuta Nigeria, J. Hasler Capt. W. African Front. Force", showing "T" and "1d/620" handstamps, the latter deleted and blue crayon "2/10", bearing GB 1d. tied by Stourbridge "750" duplex for redirection and, on reverse, Lagos transit d.s. for 27 November. Photo Estimate £ 300-400 Note: Okuta in Borgu, near the Dahomey and Lagos border, was a continuous point of tension with the French. It was not part of the Niger Territories, being placed under direct Military Administration. Capt. Hasler, originally of The Buffs, was instrumental in forming the first Mounted Infantry Unit, and rose to Lt.
