The Royal Niger Company´s Territories Royal Niger Constabulary 1899 (9 Jan.) envelope from Lt. C.V. Edwards, originally of the Yorkshire Regiment, to India, redirected internally, bearing GB 2 1/2d. tied by fine Burutu S.G. Type 4 d.s. in violet with year date error "1898", showing very light red Paid Liverpool Br. Packet d.s. with various Indian datestamps on reverse; the envelope with light vertical fold towards left and with parts of flap missing. Photo Estimate £ 300-400 Note: In 1898 volunteers from the Indian Army came to West Africa.
