The Royal Niger Company´s Territories 1888 - 1899 Handstruck Stamps Burutu "the royal niger company/chartered & limited,/post office,/burutu." double-framed d.s. in sans-serif capitals (Sacher Type 8, S.G. Type 6) 1898 (30 June) unstamped envelope ex the "Robertson" correspondence to Kent, marked "no stamps procurable", showing good to fine strike of datestamp in blackish violet with "5d" tax h.s. below and, on reverse, Liverpool/Br. Packet d.s. (31.7) in black and arrival c.d.s.; envelope with some light creases. Photo Estimate £ 300-400 Note: Charles Chetwode Robertson, of the Royal Artillery, was made Lieutenant in 1893 and served as Captain in the WAFF.
