Surcharges "3 cents" on 36c. brown and carmine vertical pair, the stamp at foot with variety "3 cents" omitted and with traces of surcharge ink offsetting on reverse, unused with large part original gum; the top stamp with minor carmine ink suffusion in top tablet, the variety lightly mounted and very fine; scarce.
