Gold Coast The Ashanti Wars The Northern Territories 1899 (6 July) envelope (opened-out for display) from Dublin to a Major in the Rifle Brigade in Egypt, bearing 1/2d. vermilion and 1d. lilac pair, re-addressed via London and Liverpool to locate addressed at Accra on the Gambaga campaign, later returned from Cape Castle to Downing Street Crown Agents for the Colonies, showing a multitude of datestamps and manuscript redirection markings; the envelope a little soiled and worn.
