Orange Free State 1868-1909 unused/mint collection neatly mounted and written-up, the Republic issues (154) include 1877 "4" on 6d. S.G. Types a, c and d, 1878 4d. corner block of eight and 5/- interpanneau block of eight, 1881 1d. on 5/-, all six types, 1882 3d. on 4d., all five types with additional Type 3, 1888 2d. on 3d. Types a and b, 1890-91 1d. on 4d. (11, one with "1" and "d" spaced) and 1d. on 4d. (2), 1891 2 1/2d. on 3d. (9, one with printer´s quad mark), 1896 " 1/2d" on 3d. selection with all types, two double surcharges and a corner block of forty-eight, and 1898 "Halve/Penny." on 3d. with surcharge inverted; British Occupation (235) with a good range of varieties, some contained in pairs, strips and blocks of four or larger, and Orange River Colony (60) including some varieties and 1903-04 set (2, one overprinted "specimen"); generally good to fine and a most attractive assembly Estimate £ 1,500-1,800
