Nyasaland 1898 Provisional 1d. "Cheque" Stamp Issue Setting II, Perforated 12 with control printed in plain relief on reverse 1d. vermilion and deep ultramarine, variety control 10Z printed in black, unused without gum as issued; perfs. trimmed off at left and thinned at top though a presentable example of this very rare stamp of which only five examples are recorded.
