Nyasaland 1898 Provisional 1d. "Cheque" Stamp Issue Setting II, Imperforate with control printed in plain relief on reverse 1d. vermilion and deep ultramarine horizontal pairs (2) originally forming a block of four, each with variety controls doubly impressed (F8 7H, 23N, S22) and cancelled with Zomba c.d.s.; some creasing and one with splitting at centre, however a scarce multiple of this variety and of generally fine appearance.
