Gold Coast Ashanti Wars 1887 1 1/2d. stationery card from Rev. Frederick Ramsayer to Germany, cancelled "554", showing "accra" c.d.s. below and "paid/liverpool/br. packet" c.d.s. (30.4) in red in opposite corner. Also 1896 1/2d. stationery card from Cape Coast addressed to Rev. Ramsayer at Coommassie. Photo Estimate £ 200-250 Note: Rev. Ramsayer had a mission in Ashanti and suffered capture and imprisonment in 1869 and, in 1900, fled to the fort at Kumasi for safety in the 1900 campaign.
