Cape of Good Hope 1863-64 De La Rue Cover 1868 (18 Dec.) envelope from Swellendam to Holland, bearing 4d. near slate-blue strip of three, close to large margins generally all round, in combination with 1864-67 1d. rose-red vertical pair, all clearly cancelled and showing manuscript "1/-" rate mark, diamond-framed "50" London h.s., London Paid c.d.s. (21.1) additionally tying the block and "5" h.s., both in red, the reverse with despatch oval d.s. and Harlem arrival c.d.s. (22.1); a rare and attractive combination franking, and believed to be the latest recorded cover bearing triangular stamps to an overseas destination. B.P.A. Certificate (1990).
