Cape of Good Hope 1853 Issue on Deeply Blued Paper Cover 1853 (7 Sept.) entire letter from "Sidbury", near Grahamstown, "pr Mail Steamer" to London, rated "1/-" and bearing 4d. deep blue pair with clear to large margins and with each stamp clearly cancelled and tied by a fine strike of the triangular obliterator, the reverse with "general post office/Crown/capetown" oval-framed h.s. and arrival c.d.s. (26.10); most attractive. The earliest recorded entire addressed overseas bearing triangular adhesives. B.P.A. Certificate (1985).
