Cape of Good Hope 1843 (20 Mar.) entire letter, folded five times to produce a triangular missive, from Mrs. Caroline Thomson, probably a resident of Simonstown, to Mrs. Maclean at the Royal Observatory, rated "3" in red ink and showing a fair strike of the Crowned "general post office/cape of good hope" oval d.s.
