Great Britain 1840 One Penny Black Plate X SI re-entry, good to large margins all round, tied by vermilion Maltese Cross of Bristol on 1841 (30 Jan.) envelope to Glasgow, undated Clifton double-ring marking on the front, red Bristol and black boxed Glasgow datestamps on reverse, light vertical filing fold well clear of the adhesive; fine and the only recorded example of the Bristol vermilion Maltese Cross on plate X.
