x Great Britain 1840 One Penny Black Plate XI OA re-entry, margins just cut into to very large, just tied by red Maltese Cross cancellation on cover front with a clear strike of Howden 1841 (10 Feb.) despatch datestamp on flap. A very early plate XI cover and used on the first day of the general introduction of the black Maltese Cross. Exceptionally rare use of the red Maltese Cross on a plate XI cover. B.P.A.
