x Currency Board, £50, Jerusalem, 1 September 1929, red serial number A015252, purple and pale green, value in brown guilloche at centre, the White Tower at Ramleh at left, signatures of the Board Members, Caucutt, Ezechiel and Vernon low centre, value at each corner, reverse purple, the Citadel of Jerusalem and the Tower of David at centre in circular frame, value below and top left and right (Pick 10b, Dabbah page 141), ex Sidney L. Olsen sale, lot 2119, Nasca 15 August 1978, pencil annotation on face and small ink annotation on reverse, a fresh and original example with good body to the paper, a spectacular note and one of the finest extant, probably at least the equal of the Birnbaum example, sold Spink October 2007.
