Sierra Leone 1897 Surcharges on Fiscal stamps 2 1/2d. on 1/- dull lilac Type A (S.G. 66) single and pair on piece, and horizontal strip of three on piece, each with a major error, the pair [9-10] with broken "2" at left, "e" of "postage", "and" and fine "e" of "revenue" and parts of bars at right omitted, the strip with "nd" of "and" omitted and the bars broken and discontinuous; washed colour and faults (which caused the errors) though unique and interesting items.
