Orange Free State 1900 V.R.I. Overprints Subsequent Printings — 6d. bright carmine block of four, the upper left stamp with thick "V", the other three stamps showing distinct signs of type-wear, characteristic of the Sixth Setting, unused with part to full original gum with the lower pair remaining unmounted; some creasing though a rare block accompanied by a 1919 letter from P.L. Pemberton stating that this block originated from a Postal Administrator in the Orange River Colony, and that this block had been bought from his widow. S.G. 119, 129, £545 Estimate £ 150-200
