x New South Wales 1854 (25 May) entire from Sydney "p Madras S.S. via Marseilles" to Scotland, rated "2/3" and bearing 1854-59 imperf. 6d. slate-green with good to large margins and dumb cancellation, despatch, London (27.7) and Glasgow (28.7) c.d.s. on reverse Estimate £ 60-80 Note: The "Madras" was a P.&O. iron screw steamer. The cover was carried by the "Madras" which left Sydney on 25 May and arrived at Galle on 25 June with the mail arriving at Marseilles on 25 July having been carried on the "Ganges" and the "Valetta"
