Antarctica 1934-37 British Graham Land Expedition by John R. Rymill Undated envelope to Port Stanley, marked "Barry Island The Debs Fallines Coast 68º 10´ S: 66º 53´ W" and bearing Falkland Islands 1929-37 1d. pair and 1935 1d. both cancelled "PENOLA" between pen cross. Extremely rare with few covers recorded from this expedition. Photo Estimate £ 2,500-3,000 Note: John Rymill was born in Penola, South Australia, hence the choice of name for his vessel for this expedition. The Barry Island mentioned on the cover was named by Rymill after the eldest son of Frank Debenham, a member of the Expedition Advisory Committee. Rymill made the first crossing of Graham Land and demonstrated it was joined to the Antarctic continent provenance: Spink, 2002
