Antarctica 1910-13 British Antarctic Expedition by Robert F. Scott 1913 (24 Feb.) Christchurch Carnival postcard (Principals of the Company) addressed locally, bearing 1/2d. green cancelled with a fine strike of the rare "south pole disaster carnival/christchurch/ 24 Feb. 1913" triple -ring d.s. in violet; part of address erased though a fine strike of this unusual datestamp which was used on one day only.
