Antarctica 1910-13 British Antarctic Expedition by Robert F. Scott 1913 (18 Jan.) envelope registered from E.G.H.R. Evans to Mrs. Bowers in Scotland and redirected to Bute, bearing No. 88 registration label and Victoria Land 1d. carmine strip of three all neatly cancelled with "brit. antarctic expd" c.d.s., the reverse with Lyttelton (12.2), Wellington (13.2), Auckland (14.2), Glasgow (21,3) and Rothsay (22.3) d.s. A fine cover from the fourth and final mailing from the base at Cape Evans, and the only one to contain registered mail. Photo Estimate £ 1,000-1,200
