Antarctica 1902-04 Scottish National Antarctic Expedition by William S. Bruce Ephemera A selection of items relating to the expedition including a very rare original photograph (274x230mm., creased) showing various important members of the expedition with their names and rank, etc. written on the face, 1905 typed Testimonial from William Bruce for John Fitchie, signed Wm. S. Bruce at foot, 1905 postal stationery cards from Canada and Netherlands (additional stamp removed) to Bruce and Rudmose Brown in Edinburgh, 1907 (c.) advertising flyer for the scientific reports of the S.N.A.E., 1914 typed letter from Douglas Mawson to the British Government pleading for a grant to publish the scientific results of the expedition, 1917 letter from Bruce, written on three pieces of S.N.A.E. "Tow-Netting" paper to Lieut. Gould referring to his investigations of the search by various explorers for the Aurora Islands and also mentions Bouvet Island, and a later letter from Harvey Pirie with some biographical notes.
