Antarctica 1902-04 Scottish National Antarctic Expedition by William S. Bruce 1904 (20 Feb.) reply half of Falkland Islands 1d. red card to Rudmose Brown Scotland, cancelled with superb "orcados del sud/distrito 24 (gallegos)" c.d.s. in violet; the message, headed "At Sea 200 miles from Table Bay", includes "We are rapidly approaching Cape Town on our way home. I am sending you some P.C. postmarked at S. Orkneys by the Official Argentine Postmaster. He at first refused to postmark any but Argentine stamps but I persuaded him to stamp some Falkland Is. postcards for me". Rare and most attractive. Photo Estimate £ 600-800
