Penang Early Letters and Handstamps 1836 (1 July ) entire letter to London, showing various rate marks and, on reverse, a fine strike of framed "pinang/post office" d.s. in red (Type P.S.5), framed "india letter/gravesend" and arrival c.d.s. (26.12), all in red. A fine example of this very scarce and short-lived marking, used only from May 1836 until June 1837.
