Gibraltar Stamps of Great Britain Cancelled "A26" 1885 (29 Dec.) envelope to a sailor on H.M.S. Diamond at Sydney, New South Wales and redirected to a local hospital, bearing 1881 1d. lilac lightly cancelled with "A26" duplex, charged for postage due, being underfranked for mail to Australia, but being recognised as a concessionary rate cover the manuscript "10 cts" and "T" handstamp deleted, the latter by worn "A26" cancellation, the reverse with Port Said (12.1), Suez (12.) and Sydney (16.2) c.d.s.; a few small imperfections though a rare example of the inward concessionary rate to a serviceman, a most unusual destination and a very late use of G.B. stamps which were discontinued at Gibraltar just two days later.
