Gibraltar Stamps of Great Britain Cancelled "A26" 1873 (31 Mar.) double rate envelope "per Steamer Via Southampton" to New York, bearing wing-margin 4d. vermilion Plate 13 and 6d. pale buff Plate 12 pair each cancelled with "A26" duplex or "A26", rated "4" in red crayon and showing London Paid c.d.s. over-cancelled with New York Paid All c.d.s. (18.4), Brooklyn arrival c.d.s. (18.4) on reverse; the 6d. pair with a few short perfs., otherwise fine and attractive. A rare franking.
